"My husband and I had our first baby in November of 2013. We found Rachel by fate (and a little luck). We had a Doula lined up but 3 weeks before my due date she backed out and canceled on us. Rachel graciously opened her schedule and was by our side, just in time.  During our prenatal visit she showed me some yoga positions to help ready myself and the baby for labor. She taught my husband labor supporting techniques and made sure he was ready for the big day. Throughout my labor Rachel was always there with encouraging words and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Whether it was a cool rag, a drink of cold water or chap stick, she was prepared. After our little girl was born, she stayed with me and made sure breastfeeding was established and that I had everything I needed. During my postpartum Rachel visited me at home and stayed closely in touch. We were able to ask any question and we received the best advice to help our transition into parenthood. "It was great to have Rachel there for the delivery of our little girl. When we arrived, we were nervous and I know there were times where Brooke had wondered how she was going to get through a natural child birth. Though I gave her calming words of confidence and told her how strong she was and that I would be there for her, she was even more assured when Rachel arrived. Rachel reminded her of her earlier practice sessions and helped make Brooke as comfortable as possible. 

Rachel assisted Brooke with different positions, as well as, with keeping her calm and collected.  It was nice to have Rachel's calm confidence in the room and I was impressed with how she worked with the nurses and doctors; it was a team effort.   Brooke was able to have an unmedicated birth and was proud that she had accomplished what she had envisioned in her mind.  We were so glad to have Rachel there supporting us every step of the way.
